Under the tutelage of Quaja Bell and Mckinley Teacher of the Year Paige Colwell, the McKinley Middle art club planned and created a beautiful float for our students and teachers to ride in during the Mid-City Mardi Gras Parade that took place on Sunday, February 24th. This is the second year in a row the Art club has undertaken this project. Destiny Brown Designed the entire concept and drew most of the decorations whileKamran Vienne, Mckenzie Millican, Sarah Lynn Petty, and Kymani Lewis did all the lettering/ Sandy Nguyen, Milton Ramirez, William Rhys, William Davis, Ari King, Raina Cowart, Stella Smith, Sephyah Mason, Andrew Kocen, Enia Jackson, Calvance James, Yasmin Legier, Jakera Bellazin, Carly Daniels and Dallas Davis painted the float and helped to sort beads. Kudos to the teachers and students involved in this achievement! Mustang Proud!
